Weekly Theatre Classes

  • Musical Theatre Conservatory Training (ages 11-18)

    This comprehensive three-hour conservatory class provides focused training in the core disciplines of musical theatre. Students develop Broadway-style jazz technique, acting skills, and vocal performance while building confidence, versatility, and artistry. Class includes technique and choreography inspired by classic and contemporary musicals, monologue and scene work, audition preparation, vocal technique, and repertoire development. Emphasis is placed on storytelling, stage presence, and the skills needed for successful musical theatre performance and auditions.

    Mondays: 4:00pm-7:00pm

    Tuition is $2,640 per class for the full year, with the option to pay in four installments of $660 each.

  • Tap (ages 11-18) & Adult

    with John Diaz

    We’re excited to offer two tap classes designed for different ages and experience levels!

    Beginning Tap | Ages 11–18
    A welcoming class for students who are new to tap or have limited tap experience. Students will build a strong foundation in tap technique while developing rhythm, musicality, coordination, and confidence. Class will introduce fundamental tap steps and vocabulary and build toward fun combinations in a supportive, upbeat environment. No prior tap experience required!

    Sundays: 2-3pm (11-18)

    Tuition is $1,140 per class for the full year, with the option to pay in four installments of $285 each

    Mixed-Level Adult Tap | Ages 18+
    A fun and energetic class for adults with a range of tap experience—from complete beginners to experienced tappers looking to get back into it. Class focuses on technique, rhythm, musicality, coordination, and combinations, with modifications and challenges offered so dancers can work at their own level. Whether you’re putting on tap shoes for the first time or dusting off an old pair, you’re welcome!

    Sundays: 3-4pm

    $25 drop in fee or purchase a class card.

  • Adult Theatre Improv (ages 18+)

    with Nic Moore

    Want to play improv games, meet creative people, and sharpen your acting skills? This class welcomes performers of all experience levels to explore improv techniques while building confidence and creativity on and off the stage. Inspired by the teachings of Keith Johnstone, Viola Spolin, and Sanford Meisner, students will participate in fun theater games, short-form and long-form exercises, and performance opportunities. Come celebrate your creativity with us!

    Mondays: 7:00pm-8:30pm

We’re happy to offer trial classes for new students. The class is complimentary if you decide not to enroll afterward; standard tuition applies once you choose to continue.

Please note that enrollment is ongoing for the entire school year. If you would like to drop a class or classes, you must email info@stapletonschool.org before the next billing date to avoid being charged. We will assume all dancers wish to remain enrolled for the full school year unless we receive written notice otherwise.
