A Note from Oliver Jr. Director Jenny Boynton
Oliver Jr. may be a junior production, but the themes within this story are complex, emotional, and at times very dark. This cast embraced those challenges with incredible maturity, thoughtfulness, and heart. They treated the material with respect while still bringing energy, humor, and humanity to every moment onstage.
What has impressed me most throughout this process is the tremendous growth I have seen in each individual performer. Every actor has developed not only in talent and confidence, but also as a collaborator, storyteller, and member of this company. Watching them support one another and rise to every challenge has made me immensely proud.
To our cast: thank you for your hard work, your trust, and your commitment to this production. You have truly conducted yourselves like professionals, and I could not be prouder of what you have accomplished together.
I hope to see many of you at auditions for A Christmas Carol, our upcoming multi-generational production performing in November, which I will also have the pleasure of directing. And who knows — maybe you can even convince (or lovingly force!) some of your family members to join us onstage as well.
