Sharon Burns joined the organization as Executive Director in January, 2006. Sharon has been associated with Virginia Stapleton and has served the Stapleton School in a variety of capacities for over fifteen years. Sharon originally handled billing and bookkeeping for Virginia when the school was based at Devonshire Hall (Drake H.S.) and the office was at Virginia's house. As Executive Director Sharon manages the school's business affairs, including programming, production management, communications, marketing, and finance. Sharon brings over twenty years of management experience, including fifteen years in the public sector, most recently as Recreation Supervisor for the Town of San Anselmo. Sharon's arts management experience includes five years as Executive Producer of the award-winning community theatre group, The Town Players, now known as The Stapleton Theatre Company.
