Fantasy Ballet Camps - June 16th - August 22nd

Our Fantasy Ballet Camps are designed for children ages 4 to 7 (Please note: Children should turn 4 by July 1, 2008. Exceptions will be made for students that are not yet 4 but are currently enrolled in our Rhythm & Dance class). This incredibly popular camp program features a winning combination of dance and expressive movement, imaginative games, creative arts and crafts and enriching cultural activities, all in a beautiful facility with experienced and caring instructors. We have seven different weekly sessions, each with a unique theme. Our Fantasy Ballet Camps are directed by Stapleton faculty Megan Cherry and Jamaica Janowicz, with input from Virginia Stapleton. Both Megan and Jamaica have extensive experience working with children in this age group. Additional summer staff includes Stapleton School alumni, many of whom danced with us for years and are now college students. Their unique connection to our school and its philosophy brings them back year after year to work with us. All Pre Ballet Camps will have a teacher to student ratio of 1:8.

Summer Mini Sessions - June 30th -July 25th

Ballet students ages 7.5 and older are invited to participate in our Summer Mini Session. The four week session runs from June 30 to July 25, with classes meeting daily (Mon-Fri). The mini session offers the ultimate in flexibility... you pick the days that you wish to take class! This allows the student to conveniently schedule classes around other activities and family vacations. Summer training is essential for dancers to maintain their strength and technique. Summer dancers have an advantage when they enter the fall school year (and Nutcracker auditions) fit, firm, and ready to go!

Students will gain an understanding of dance technique, terminology, and movement quality, while having fun. This energizing dance form will help develop rhythmic awareness, individual expression and the use of the body as percussive instrument. Nicole has an energetic and enthusiastic teaching style, and most recently choreographed BYE BYE BIRDIE for San Domenico School. Register early!
